The gig economy has put more and more service workers in their cars. Uber and Lyft drivers, food delivery services like Doordash, Grubhub, Instacart, and Gopuff, among many more. These workers spend most of their day driving from one destination to another, picking people up, dropping people off, delivering food and groceries, etc. They rest and eat in their cars, too. Surfolder is designed to create and support an in-car dining experience so when gig drivers take a break to eat a meal, it feels less rushed and on-the-go. Having a sturdy, compact surface to place one’s food and drink means no more eating out of a bag on one’s lap. Drivers can sit back, relax, and enjoy their meal before heading into their next shift.
