Exquisite Humanity
Spirituality is a universal concept that suggests a belief in something greater than oneself. Every spiritual individual has their own highly personalized definition of spirituality, and their own conception of something greater than themselves. Spirituality is not organized. It has no doctrine or creed, no followers or flock. Spirituality is a path, an inner stillness, and a kind of assurance. It is a way of being in the world. It is a quiet sense of purpose. And so much more. In this chaotic world, we look to silence our minds and to know peace. We crave serenity. Most of us are familiar with the iconography of world religions. But what does spirituality look like? My interest in this question led me to design a visual language that represents and reflects spirituality in the broadest sense, and that helps broaden the conversation around this exquisitely human concept.
