We all have thought about the future and wondered what it will be like. How might our architecture, workplaces, and day-to-day activities differ from what they are today? Now ponder this: What if the future we imagine already exists in the here and now? According to Sinofuturism, the future is in a constant state of development and it’s developing right before our very eyes. The core values of this futurism – computing, copying, gaming, studying, addiction, labor, and gambling – use technology, together with Chinese stereotypes, e.g. physical servitude, intellectual conformity, and computational fixation, as the basis for freedom. Designers of Intelligence is an animated tower that revolves around the core values of Sinofuturism. The architect is AI. The animation demonstrates how these core values build upon one another and how each is a cyclical process working to improve the intelligence and efficiency of AI’s. It is this process that enables AI’s to become what they are: designers of intelligence.
