The Greener Picture
Our beautiful world is in danger. Faced with the current environmental crisis, one is called to action every day: climate change, ocean clean-ups, saving our rainforests, recycling efforts, clean energy, and more. It is easy to feel overwhelmed. So much seems out of reach and far away. One asks oneself, ‘What can I, as an individual, do?’. Actually there is a lot one can do in one’s own backyard. Invasive plants are non-native, harmful plants that spread quickly and out-compete native plants for resources, ultimately destroying the surrounding ecosystem. Information is power. The Greener Picture is an educational tool for the budding environmentalist who wants to do their part in protecting vulnerable ecosystems. Users learn to explore, identify, and manage their piece of the natural world. No step is too small to make a big difference.
